Teacher Certification Aggravation--Fingerprints

I'm so aggravated, I just received a letter in the mail stating my certification is missing fingerprints. WTH?!

I had my fingerprints taken at BOCES in Manhattan in August of 2002. Why don't they have this on record?

Has this happened to anyone?

Is there anyway to have those records pulled?

What should I do now? I sent them an email (apparently no one works in Albany on Thursday!! , but I don't want my cert held up for this BS.

URRRR!

FH had to have it redone, and they made him go to the precint. It was $12 or something like that, then another $100 to have the state process it....AGAIN.

Don't you just love it!?

I think you need them done for Long Island....I do not think it is okay to have them just done in the city...I never got mine done for the city...only in Freeport and I was fine....

For the DOE, I had to send a release form that allowed them to send mine to the state. Maybe see if BOCES can do that?
