Has anyone been ona field trip there. wan tto purchase tix ahead of time but im not sure on the number chaperones vs. kids and I dont know how to order tickets. Do all the tickets look the same, like if i have too many kids tix and some dont go, can an adult use them?

I was a zookeeper...you can contact the wildlife conservation society to get a discount. DO the bulk rate and collect money from the kids in advance. Theres an education department at the bronx zoo. Depending on how old they are...I was a zookeeper at the Queens Zoo, much more friendly to little kids (farm and all) and not as big of a day. Nice small and can all be covered in a day. HTH

the zoo is free one day a week....maybe Tuesday??
if you teach in NYC, you shouldn't have to pay. FM me if you have questions. I've taken students there several times
Just booked the BX zoo we are going for free. It's a SP ED group and we are in Queens.

I was just researching this same thing this past week for a teacher in my school (I work in Special Education administrative office). Check their website. It's free on Wednesdays for school groups but if you want to go another day, they are discounted. The prices are all listed on their site.
