In Massachusetts, you are entitled. but a lot of times, they get their subs from agencies.

Not when I subbed on LI, and I worked in 4 or 5 schools. But each school pays differently.

In NYC they don't. I heard somewhere that subs on LI get paid less than subs in NYC. I thought that was strange since regular teachers get paid more on LI.
