Teachers???

I am a fifth grade teacher and I'm being observed in Decemeber. The observation is in literacy and my focus has to be summarizing. Do any of you have ideas? I was thinking of doing something with a biography...then the whole 5w thing....but i feel like it's boring. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
