Re: Teachers...
I've already been in to 'visit' my classroom twice. Once I go in I get all involved and so I am trying to put it off until next week at least. As far as shopping for it, I am pretty set......
lol, okay I take the cake on this one, I am still in grad school, don't have a postion yet but I've already started a collection of things....
I'm just afraid that when I do have a classroom I won't find it (whatever it is) at that time. I know they always come out with new, wonderful items but I just can't help it.

Re: Teachers...
My sister is a teacher, and she was just talking about this the other night. She said she'll be there a few times next week to set up the classroom and start her shopping - but she's not looking forward to the end of summer! Where did it go, and why was it so FAST this year?!

I'll be going shopping next week. I'll probably be back in my rooms towards the end of the month.

Re: Teachers...
Well I am starting in a new district after teaching in the city for a long time. I have visited my classroom many times and want to cry each time I do. My room used to be a resource room and they have no furniture appropriate for the grade I am teaching. They have to move everything from upstairs in an old room to my room (there is no elevator). They have not moved anything therefore I can not do anything. I would love to start decorating and organizing, leveling library etc. but until they start moving furniture I can't do a thing. They are in no hurry at all so I am at a loss as to what to do!! But yes, I have shopped already. I have gotten most of everything but i am sure I will be visiting the stores again soon!

Re: Teachers...
Thankfully I have FINALLY come to the point, where I don't have to buy a ton of stuff anymore to set up my classroom! I have to buy 10 folders, 200 lollypops, some blank labels and construction paper (extra thick) from Costco and I will be all set. I have been at school so many days already, but they will not allow us to set up our classrooms until the last week in August, which is quickly approaching.
Is everyone going back on the 7th?

Yup! 3 times so far!!! I went today actually, to Lakeshore. I love shopping for that stuff, soooo much fun!
I'm probaly the only one who WANTS to go back! The quicker it comes, the quicker we get married and go on our HM I'm taking the 1st week of school off

I have an entire corner filled with stuff. I still have to place an order to Oriental Trading as well as Childswork/ChildsPlay.
