Re: TEACHERS
I feel your pain. I had to do a yooooooge master's project. Mine was on gender issues as they related to literacy. It was a b*tch. Good luck!

Re: TEACHERS
are you taking the first part of the class right now??? I finished my thesis at Dowling last summer... it was so stinky!! I know the class differs greatly depending on the teacher...and that does sound like a hard topic... i did mine on assessment in art education... a much easier topic! Good luck!
yes its the first part with Deucthman, he is so hard on us :(
I just don't think I will ever be done, I don't think he his going to accept any of this work, I am emailing him like crazy trying to get it up to his standards.
ANy suggestions??

Re: TEACHERS
dont worry about him, he ends up being easy in the end... have you met all of his deadlines along the way???
no I haven't meet them all but I am trying to fix everything now. I made efforts and I am continuing to do so. I just don't know. This has been a horribly stressful semester.
I still have a paper on the Aneid to do for Epic Tradition
A Capstone for N. American Literacy Tradition
and
A final paper for Reading/Writing WOrkshop
The last one is easy, in fact I can finish that right now but the other two and the research well who needs sleep anywayz right?

Re: TEACHERS
For some reason, he really really liked me... i never met his deadlines (maybe once??) and handed my paper in on the due date and ended up with a B in the class (every other grade I got at Dowling was an A) I did however keep my meetings with him in my office and I always sounded like I knew what I was talking about when we had a discussion on my topic...
However, for some reason, he didnt like FI who also took the class with him, and did the same work as I did and didnt meet deadlines either... he handed his paper in on time and got a D...
During the semester I was stressing because I wanted to keep my 4.0, but when I realized that they dont print that you graduated with honors on your transcript or your degree I stopped caring and the stress was completely eased... As long as you hand in a decent paper it will be ok... I would DEFINATELY make sure you take the second half with him... as much as he can be tough, the second half of the class is smooth sailing with him... both FI and I felt this way... and its a P/F class, so as long as you hand something in on time, you are ok...

Re: TEACHERS
WOW! you have a lot of papers due... i dont think I did nearly that amount of work the entire time I was at Dowling...you must be majoring in Literacy or something?? I was secondary education... so easy! I got lucky!
