Teachers......

Are you going to invite your principal and assistant principals as well as other co- workers????

i know that i am going to invite at least one of my APs... as my for my principal, we have a new one this year, so i'll see... but if my old one was there, i definetly would... FH is also a teacher and does not plan on inviting any of his APs or principals, but he does want to invite his entire (and large dept) Im not inviting my whole department, just the ones i like...

I am not really sure what to do. My mom keeps telling me I should invite them, but i really don't know. Things are very different in a school setting compared to an office setting.

i think it really depends on the school and you realtionship with them... i work in a HS where we have 3 APs... im only planning on inviting one because we are close and correspond daily... the other two i barely speak to... FH on the other hand spends so much time in his departement and barely speaks to any administrators, so he dosnt feel it is necessary... we are also both inviting our chairpeople...

I will have 2 principals next year, so I am really not sure what to do about that. I feel like I should invite my director (I'm a music teacher),but honsetly I am a little nervous about inviting her b/c she has a tendency to over step the boundaries sometimes and I don't want to give her the wrong impression... why does a guest list have to be so frustrating!!

Not inviting the principal. I have no relationship with her and I have no reason to think she could further my career if I do invite her.

I feel pretty close to my principal and 2 aps, so I will be inviting them. I am also inviting all of the teachers on my grade, as well as a few coworkers I see outside school. I'll probably have a table of teachers.

i am invitiing my prinicpal (she won't come) and my AP but AP is a personal friend. I think in some places it is just a common courtasy type thing. I have a good relationship w/ my principal but doubt highly she will come. I plan on inviting a number of people i am friendly with.

im inviting my principal and ap (even though they probably wont come). in my school everyone invites the administrators, secretaries, and the teachers on the grade. my dilemma is that i was on 3rd for 2 yrs and i love them to death, and this yr i will be on 2nd. i dont know if i need to invite them too? i still have close friends from the school that are not in any of these categories. i have more co-workers than family. this is crazy.

My FH and I both work for the SAME school district. EVERYONE seems to think that they will be invited to our wedding but in all honesty, we're only inviting VERY close work friends! Someone is bound to be insulted but something's gotta give!

don't worry, if this is your first year on 2nd you don't have to invite everyone.

I am not close to my principal. She barely says hello. I am however close to my assistant principal. I'm not sure if I will invite them though. Co-workers definitely, but not to many. Only the ones I am close to.
