Teachers.....................

How was your first week? Any funny/horror/interesting stories???? My week was great and I have some awesome classes this year!

Today was my first full day and all I can say is that I am sooo tried and my throat is killing me from talking so much!

its going good.. my class is a bunch of misfits haha but we are wiping htem into shape! we have the spec ed and we got all the 'behavior' kids that no one wanted to loop with

its funny because im coteaching this year with my friend and the class i had last year was soooo bad, i came in, in nov and the teacher before me had NO management they think she went psycho haha.. so this year these kids are actaully quiet (but they do talk) but i feel like they are so much better than what i had last year (since i didnt have them from day 1 all year was a fight to get them to behave) and my friend thinks they are sooo bad

I must say that being a special ed. teacher i fell like I have seen everything, but my classes this year seem so nice. I am actually really excited. I think I may actually be able to teach for a few staraight minutes without dealing with a behavior problem. YAY

It's sooo much easier to mold them to your teaching style and give them your expectations from day 1.

Yes, please as we all know, students the first week are different than students in January.

Glad everything is going good for everyone else
Another 3 day week, YAY, we are getting spoiled, what are we gonna do when we have to work a full 5 days

everything has been going well....but then again its only the second week! you never know what happens when they get real comfortable.

I know! How are we going to do it? LOL Did any of you ladies get paid this past Friday too? I was estatic when I heard we were getting paid! I went to the mall Saturday to celebrate lol.

Well lets see I have a new sixth grade student in my class and he called me a b***h in russian....so were going to have to deal with that!

Wow, what happened to him? That's grounds for OSS for at least 2 days...

my first 3 days were cool. mostly orientation assemblies and what nots.. i teach a reduced schedule so i only have 2 classes.. one has 11 students and the other has 14.. so it's a light schedule..

my kids are good.. although they are prob one step out of special ed... i had a kid first day tell me that frog was a verb because frogs hop... i knew right then and there what i was dealin with... luckily i only teach the 2 classes a day and then i'm back to my administrative duties.. so its not so bad..

i'm also THRILLED to pieces that this is a 3 day week.. i'm going on a cruise this weekend on the days off.. so i'm super duperexcited!!fh and my first trip with my daughter.. our first family vacation!!!
