Is anyone taking the COMPS test on March 8th to complete their masters program? I just got the essay questions. Yuck! I have not studied for a test since college!!!

Are you going to Hofstra? I had to take COMPS there for my graduate degree. They aren't really that bad...just a LOT of preparation work. Let me know how things go

Good luck! I took them 3 years ago and they were so easy! It's all just common sense and more of a pain in the ass since it's all in essay form!
You will do fine! Best of luck and let us know how it goes!

thanks girls! I am going to CW Post. I am going to the library tomorrow to research the essay questions. They are not that hard, but they really are a pain in the a$$!! I have to worry about the test, I am a full time teacher, and I still am taking graduate classes....YUCK!!!

I went through the same thing a few months ago when I was finishing up my Masters at Hofstra. Lots of luck and don't worry....it will pay off in the end!!

I graduated from St. John's last year and they did away with the comps. I had to write a thesis and do a project.

I heard that if you go to Hofstra they don't give you the questions, but tell you what information you need. My school (Post) gives you the questions so you have to reasearch the answers and remember them...

I took the comps at Post last year at this time. Don't worry - just go home and study. Post basically gives you the questions, you just have to research the answers.

yes, but that is the annoying part. Now i have to find time to go to the library and research 4 essay questions. Who feels like doing that after a long day at work. my school does not get out until 4:00 to begin with!!! I guess i know what i will be doing february break....

Buttafli...I went to St. John's too. WOW...cant believ they did away with the comps. I hated that they didnt give you th etest questions in advance like most colleges did.
