Does anyone have any good ideas of what a I could put in the hallway for back to school night? Right now I have Bio Poems they wrote with a self portrait but I thought I should also put something else. Anyone do anything good for back to school night? I teach 3rd grade. Thanks for your help.
How about book reviews. Have students write reviews of their favorite books or books they enjoyed reading over the summer. Give it a catchy title like 'Want a book....take a look' - give the students some sort of template like 'Title, author, opinion sentence and 3 supporting reasons why they liked the book'. There is nothing more valuable than peer suggestions (they tend to listen to each other more than they do us!)...good luck!
