tryign to come up with christmas presents for FH's siblings - his sister, and FSIL are teachers - its just a thought - i was wondering if this would be useful for a teacher - or just cute to have on the desk.

i am not a teacher - but i like that! i love desk calendar things. what grade do they teach though, because it does kind of have a juvenile feel to it....

I think it's really cute.
Here's another cute idea too: What about a #1 Teacher ornament? Fortunoff has some really cute ones. I'll see if I can find a pic.

That is a good idea. We are trying to find really great gifts this year that dont cost too much money bec of wedding saving - FH has 5 siblings and 3 have significant others -

I really like it! But having said that, I have recieved just about every 'teacher' gift you can think of from students/parents...especially when I taught 7th and 8th grade (I'm in high school now...we don't get too many gifts!) So, are you sure they don't have something like this already?

I have to be honest here...as a teacher we get soooooo much of that stuff from the kids...It piles up and sometimes gets thrown away. IMO the best gift anyone can get a teacher is a gift certificate to borders..generally we love books and are always spending money there!

Please no more teacher ornaments, candles, or bath and body works stuff...elementary teachers have tons!!!!

personally...I want to be thought of as me...not as a teacher...coming from a student is one thing...but I wouldn't really be happy if it came from a sibling...JMHO
