how about summer school - the pay is great and the hours are not bad at all BBB - they give really good discounts (i may actually look into that one too if i cant get summer school) tutoring like Kaplan or Sylvan summer camp

I usually work summer school or some variation of. NYC has tons of summer opportunities for teachers. (if you work in the city...)

You can apply to teach summer school if you work for NYC. There are also jobs at camps. I always pick up extra money in the summer by doing workshops, I refuse to work summer school again!!!!! For the workshops they pay us per session rate per hour for attending, same as w/ summer school except you can go for 1 week and make like $2500.

Re: teachers....... part 2
I work at an arts program during the summers - I teach high school, so it's really nice to get to work with some slightly younger kids, and also to get to see even the older kids in a slightly different light for a few weeks - it reminds me WHY I put up with their crap all year long!
but, depending on what you like, there are a billion summer opportunities out there - summer school, summer camps, retail, waitressing, tutoring, babysitting, etc, etc.

The best summer job I ever had was in a travel camp. My kids were fantastic. We went to ever theme park on the east cost, plus camping and fishing and beach trips. And I made over $1500 in cash tips!!!!

I was just thinking the same thing just the other day. I def. need some money during the summer..but my prob. is that I am getting married in July and I want to enjoy married life with my FH...so I really dont want to work lol
Why dont you apply for a job as a receptionist or something...thats what I was thinking of doing.

camps are easy and fun... and a lot of them will give teachers higher positions and better salaries
