My current job is a leave replacement that will be over at the end of June. I have also worked as a regular salaried employee in a school. My question is where on my resume do I put my leave-replacement job? Do I put it at the top as my most recent position or do I put it somewhere else? To further complicate things I work PT somewhere else, so I'm not sure which would go on top.

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
I hate looking at how many people viewed my posts but I can't help it!!...does this mean 10 people who are not teachers looked out of curiosity or that 10 teachers looked but have no answer?

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
I am not a teacher but I looked anyway. I have no input
The thought that came into my head when I read the title of your thread is 'Why do I know that she is talking about a resume' when it is spelled the same as resume (as in to continue an activity?)
You have now been introduced to the randomness of my brain.

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
i would say put your current job (the leave replacement) at the top. when they ask you about the position explain that it's a leave replacement. I'm assuming this is a temorary position which is why you're interviewing? I would guess anyone in the education field would understand your situation.
As for the part time gig unless it's job related I'm not sure I would even put it on.
Bare in mind I'm not a teacher nor do I work in the education field. Just thought I'd put in my .02.
Good Luck.

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
thanks for everyone's honesty re: reading my post and your intentions, lol..I was just being curious..feel free to look and not respond
Yes, the leave replacement is temporary and yes, the PT job is job related...I just remember seeing those sample resumes when I was in school...and there were so many da&n sections to put things under for an education resume!

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
maybe you could put the PT job under 'other job related experience'?

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
You should put your leave replacement at the top and unless the part-time job is related, dont put it all. Administrators want to see that you have experience, so make that the first thing they see.

Re: Teachers: Resume Question
I am a teacher and I agree with everyone. You should make a topic before you student teaching experience.. at the top of your resume.
