This year we start on Sept. 3. I thought this was a bit early. We usually start on the 7th.

Same here... September 2nd for us, the 3rd for the children.
The office staff starts Monday... I feel bad for them, but I'm glad they'll be there, since I'll be there finishing up my room.

We go back the 2nd but the students come back on the 8th.

You're right- I meant the kids come back on the 3rd and it's superintendent's conference day on the 2nd for us!
As of right now, I don't know if I'll have a room for sept. I was one of the lucky teachers to get a brand new room, but my principal and secretaries have told me that the room will not be ready for the first day of school! They are trying to figure out where to put me!

I know I sound like an awful teacher, but I don't know when I go back. I haven't checked the calendar yet. Too busy working and going to school and planning a wedding and trying to enjoy some of the summer. I am probably the same as everyone else though.

kids come back the 3rd, but i have four meeting days beforehand. yuck.
i was in five different classrooms in 6 periods last year. i'm hoping i'm only in two this year!

The 2nd, the kids the 3rd. I wish we has better weather this summer. Of course it gets nice out when we are ready to go and set up our classrooms - after the beach.

I have some new teacher meetings on 8/27, but don't really start til the 8th. It's my first year at this school and I'm actually looking forward to the start of the year.

Teachers back the 2nd & Kiddos on the 3rd. At least it is half days that first week. I have yet to do any lesson plans though...so much for jumping ahead.
