MY CLASS I AM STU TEACHING IN IS HAVING A PARTY ON FRIDAY FOR 'SPRING.' THEY'RE HAVING ICE CREAM SODAS. I WANTED TO BRING SOMETHING IN.....BUT I'M A NERVOUS WRECK BECAUSE OF ALLERGIES.
ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING SAFE THAT THE CHILDREN WILL LIKE?

There is nothing that we could say is 'safe' if you don't know the children's allergies! I myself have an allergy to corn, I have kids with peanuts and milk, and everything in my class. You would be better off bringing in something non-edible otherwise those with allergies will not be able to partake. You could also call your cooperating teacher and get any allergy info! HTH

just avoid nuts and berries..... you can't find a food that no one has an allergy to... but those 2 categories are usually the most allergenic...

Believe it or not, a new allergy I've been hearing of is watermellon! I'm still trying to figure out what the heck one can be allergic to in a watermelon!
Man when we were kids I don't remember food allergies being so rampant- you'd have the occasional peanut allergy but nowadays its outta control!
I say Dunkin Donuts is safe too! Or bring in some Entenmann's!
Ooooh Rice Krispy Treats maybe?

What about making a spring crossword puzzle with spring words and some of the kids' names. I think edhelper will make it. There are a few websites that will make it for free.
I have a lot of kids with food allergies, but the teacher should know and usually those kids have their own special treats that the paretns will bring in for them. The kids will even tell you too.
I would say munchkins and pretzels would be safe.
Have fun!
