my stats TA charges $40, but that's very cheap because he's a TA and gets paid anyway

i think $75-80 sounds right

I think you could even try for $50, Bonnie. If the standard rate is $75, 2/3 of that for a student teacher sounds fine to me.... maybe someone who isn't a teacher but tutors can shed some light on what they get?

I thought about tutoring english, as I was a journalism major and worked in PR for a long time, always writing ... and I was going to ask for $50 per session. Seems reasonable to me!

I tutot all the time and I ask for $50 an hour. But I tutor middle school children. If it is High School, like a regents class you can definetly get more but if its elementary or middle school $50 is suffice

50-100 is what FSIL gets. she bases it on the grade and subject.

the state testing years gets more than non state testing year.

For the kids I have tutored for years, I charge $40 per hour since I have for the past 7 years. For anyone new, $50 an hour.

It depends for me. $85 for basic ELA/Writing instruction.
$100 for SAT Verbal tutoring and $125 for literacy instruction (when I'm certified)

I usually charge about about $70 for middle school social studies. Math and Science teachers in my district for middle school usually charge between $70-85 an hour and upwards of over $100 for high school.
