Does anyone know a good/great MA Special Ed program...pt/ft?

Currently i am finishing a masters degree for dual certification in early childhood and special education at Touro College...they ar located in bklyn, staten island and manhattan, but i knwo many women that travel from LI!!!....it is very 'teacher friendly', meaning i will be finished in one year!...amny teachers recommended it to me, so thats y i am there!...they even have a class where u can get three credits in one week (february break, u can sinish one class!) i needed something quick to enable me to commit to a position in the school that i was subbing in.
ps .... public schools are always looking for teachers!!

I've also had an elementary ed. certification since September 2005 and struggled with my job search. The field is flooded right now and it is definitly tough finding openings. I've been working as an Instructional Asst. in a highschool ESL class for the past 2 years, which has been fun and great for networking purposes. I'm also completing my Masters in TESOL @ St. John's University this May. The program is great, and if you live in Suffolk, they have a campus in Oakdale which is very convenient. Keep yourself busy w/ sub jobs and see if schools are hiring lnst. Assts. Both are great ways to get your foot in the door!

Good Luck :)
