Tealights with clear cups??

For my centerpieces, I need tealights. I don't want silver cups because some of the holders I am using are clear and I don't like they way that looks. I bought a bunch of tealights at ikea but they have silver cups. I was going to wrap them in this adhesive ribbon my mom says they sell at michaels (??) but ... i had the ikea tealights in my car this week, and guess what, they melted all over the place

So, i threw them out (I heard they do not burn for 4 hours anyhow) - only $4 for 100, not a terrible loss

I saw some 'highly scented' tealights at waldbaums the other day, $6 for 9, which is a an ok price, but I really want unscented. And, the price will add up since I need like 100 tealights for the centerpieces and for some other decorations.

Anyone know of a place I can good quality tealights, ivory or white unscented, for less?? I got some soy Beanpod candles at tricounty a few weeks ago, they were amazing, but again, $6 for 9.

I am going to check ebay now ... if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears!

Are you putting the candles into a holder ? If so, buy the inexpensive bag at BBB or Michaels's. Usually $5.99 for 25 of them and just pull the candles out of the tin to put into holder. CVS usually has the small packs in clear holders but they are the same $4.99 for 6 candles.

I am putting them in a holder, yes. But, one of the holders I am using is for a votive, and they will get all over the place (and probably melt faster) if I do not have the cups. For that one, the silver would work fine, because they are in an orange holder. The others, though, are clear.

I could go back to the ribbon idea and use those candles. Do they burn for 4 hours or more? Any idea?

Christmas Tree Shop sells them cheap if you have one near you....

I don't, but I could find one. Are there any on LI? And do you know if the candles burn well and for more than 4 hours? (or at least 4 hours)

Christmas Tree shops are not on LI. They are opening one in Deer Park but I dont think it has opened yet.

The closest one is in Staten Island off Hyland Blvd.

Yeah, I used to sell Partylite I looove them, but I don't think I have enough left over and would love to find a seller who could put it in as a consultant purchase, but I don't know anyone well enough anymore. They are 7.95 for 12, not a bad price but still a lot when you consider the amount i need.

Yeah. They last a pretty long time. You can get a bag of 100 for about $2.00...best deal I've seen...
