Has anyone done the teeth whitening? I was thinking of doing it since I want my teeth to look good for the wedding. It's expensive, like $500 at my dentist. I told both my mom & FH and they were both like 'oh please' and thought I was being a bit too much. Hey, it's my money!! Did it make a big difference? Are your teeth sore for awhile? Thanks!

Re: Teeth Whitening
I never had the dentist do it all at one visit. I had him make a mold of my teeth and then give me the tooth whitener so I can do it myself whenever I want. It makes my teeth a little more sensitive.

Re: Teeth Whitening
I did the same thing as Novemberbride and I also had some sensitivity. Nothing major, just a little uncomfortable.

Re: Teeth Whitening
I am doing it right now!! I got the stuff from my dentist 2 years ago. It is a kit that includes a lot of treatments and molds of my teeth. It was about $350. The first few times I used it back then it was great. Now my teeth KILL me when I use it. I did it three nights ago then skipped a night and did it last night...they are soooooo sensitive it hurts when I breathe (not a lot just sensitive) I have even been brushing with sensodine. It is better than last time but still sensitive. It does work though..I see a difference already!!!!

Re: Teeth Whitening
My FH and I have been doing it for the past two weeks. We are using something called perfecta- It is a gel teeth whitening method with a tray that you use for one half hour everynight.
I have had no sensitivity and my teeth look great. THe dentist we used is a family friend but she usually charge around 380 to do it.
Good luck

Re: Teeth Whitening
I really want to my teeth to look better, they look so bad to me right now because I have coffee every morning. I'm not thrilled about the sensitivity issue, but I want that sparkle look, you know? Even after a cleaning they don't have that look. Thanks everybody or the info, I really appreciate it!

Jess, why don't you try Plus White.. I use it now b.c I can't bear the thought of using nitewhite.. I couldn't even eat b.c of the sensitivity... but whenever i feel they aren't as white as I like, I use plus white.. it really works!! and it'sonly like 5 bucks! and for 5 minutes!

Re: Teeth Whitening
Hi Marcella, I was actually thinking of doing that (it's cheaper ). The dental hygienist was telling me 'well it doesn't get all you teeth on the side, back, etc.' but I was thinking of trying it first anyway just to see if it would help at all.

Re: Teeth Whitening
Y'all are freaking me out re sensitivity. I don't even drink water with ice because of teeth sensitivity. My teeth are yellowish (coffee, red wine and smokes.... ) but not hideous. One doesn't go 'OMG her teeth are so yellow' I really want to get them done....
