Teeth Whitening

To all that have had their teeth whitened...where did you go and how much?

I could always do it at my dentist office, but I'm sure they will charge top dollar...

TIA!!

Jac,

My dentist told me that the Crest White Strips work the best other than getting it done at the office. However, my cousin said that Britesmile pens and toothpaste work great!!! I also know that T Carleton has it for a pretty reasonable price! I am going to have to check out all of the above ha!

Thank you Heather! Though, I have done the crest white strips....I'll do it for 3 or 4 days and then I stop...Im soooo LAZY when it comes to stuff like that! I'd rather just have it professionally done...what is T Carleton?

You're welcome!!! I know!!! However, they definitely do work! I actually think now they have ones that you only have to do for maybe even less than 4 days! T Carelton is the spalon by the Watermill on 347. I'm sure you have seen it.

I'm getting it done at the dentist for $350. It's the safest, most effective and lost lasting

Re: Teeth Whitening

As silly as it sounds, I found it in Queens center mall and they have one in roosevelt field i believe. But there is a kiosk that does it there for half of what a dentist office would charge you. I think it was like 150 or something like that, and they do it right there, right away. I forogt how long it takes. I was talking to people sitting there that have gotten it done before, and they said it works! May be going that route.

Re: Teeth Whitening

I went to my dentist.. they recommened platinum whites system.. it comes with three trays and a whitening pen and you mold it to your teeth as a dentist would. He was selling it for 99 bucks in the office but i found it online for cheaper. by accident my fiance and I both bought it so now I have two extra at home I want to sell...
If anyone is interested I'm selling it for 25 bucks each... which is cheaper than youll find it online. FM me!

It has great reviews.. and its super easy to use! You get to keep the trays for future whitening too and just rebuy the pen!

Re: Teeth Whitening

My dentist said that unless your teeth have been discolored by smoking or a vitamin deficiency, Crest Whitestrips are the way to go.

Just one thing to note--the strips can make your teeth very sensitive. Based on my personal experience, I suggest doing the 14 day treatment. I tried the 7-day and couldn't make it past day 2.

14 Day = 1 strip per day (30 min)
7 Day = 2 strips per day ( 30 min x 2)

Good luck!

Re: Teeth Whitening

I paid $700 through my dentist. I did it before I had to get two crowns on my front two teeth (knocked them out in a bike accident). I wanted all my teeth to be white since the crowns are permanent - didn't want yellow ones!

I've had it done and be warned it hurts!

Re: Teeth Whitening

The Crest Whitestrips cause a lot of sensitivity for me at least. There are custom whitening trays that you can have done in your dentist's office and they can be used at home. Then there is the professional whitening which is done at the dentist's office for 4 or 5 15 minute sessions. It's about 2 hours total, and it's pricey, about $400-$500 bucks.

Re: Teeth Whitening

I had the Zoom Whitening done at a dentist's office. I had won a free teeth whitening gift card at a Chinese Auction a year or two ago. I have to warn you though, if you do have them professionally done, then take 2 Advil before going. I was in a lot of pain afterwards and because my teeth weren't too discolored to begin with, it wasn't that much of a difference. I will be sticking to my Crest Whitestrips which do not hurt as bad!
