Teeth Whitening help needed!!!

Well, I have an appointment to get the BriteSmile done next week. That's the laser tooth whitening. Well, first I'll need to get xrays and a cleaning first which is $141.00 since I don't have insurance, then the BriteSmile is $500. I don't know if I can afford that for teeth whitening. That's a lot of money!!! I can't use the Crest Whitestrips, it could never get all my nooks and crannies, and I don't want to try it, and it only get parts of my teeth. I don't know what to do??? No one has ever used the Forever White treatment? It's on a lot of commercials? Does anyone have any suggestions? Is the dentist molded trays uncomfortable? Has anyone used those? Thanks!

I am currently using the crest white strips and it seems to be working (I started Monday) I have used the molded trays that are custom to my mouth and I still have them at home but you have to sleep with it overnight and that's not too comfortable, and in order to be fit for one you have to get the 'casting' or mold of your mouth and that is very uncomfortable and I wouldn't want to do it again. The BriteSmile is worth the $500 bucks if you can swing it. Good Luck.

Is britesmile the same thing as bleaching? I had asked my dentist about bleaching and I believe he said it would cost about $250.

No one believes me, but can i tell you. A few years ago, I tried the Rembrandt, and all the others and nothing really worked. Then by some fluke, I bought Aquafresh Whitening. Ok, my teeth were never whiter. So after that, I kind of stopped using it and bought whatever was on sale. So for my wedding I brougth the Crest White Strips and they are not really cheap (I mean they are compared to the dentists). Anyway, I used it twice and I didnt notice anything so I waited a few weeks and said le me go back to the Aquafresh Whiting. WELL, Lo and behold once again my teeth never looked whiter! I will never stop using it, and for $4 you can't go wrong! Please consider it, I know its only a whitenign toothpaste but for my yellow teeth it did wonders!

I work for a cosmetic dentist. Crest strips do work, but not on everyone & not in 'nooks & crannies'. My office was one of the first on LI to offer Brite smile. We are no longer using that system, we are using something called Zoom. I just did it on Tuesday. My teeth are at least 8 shades whiter than they were. The tray systems that dentists make work VERY Well, but you have to be willing to wear them for 2 weeks. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions! Good Luck!
P.S. a beautiful smile is priceless!

I am going to try the Crest Whitening strips as well, hope they work. I have dental insurance but my dentist told me that bleaching the teeth would cost $500 and not a penny of it is covered by insurance because it's considered a cosmetic procedure.

I am wearing the Crest strips right now. I didn't notice a difference until the 3rd or 4th day but they are working for me.

I wouldn't do the one visit teeth whitener. When I had to go get my wisdom tooth pulled, the oral surgeon was telling me that he had a guy come in who had done it and his teeth were SUPER SENSITIVE and hurting. I have the mold the dentist made of my teeth. You don't have to sleep with it. You can wear them for a couple of hours around the house if you would feel more comfortable. It works great. Don't do it too much because your teeth may get a little sensitive.
