Tell Me If I'm Wrong (Long)

Tell Me If I'm Wrong (Long)

We'd been quietly planning our wedding for a couple of months. I didn't mention to my immediate supervisior that we set our date, but did tell the woman in charge of vacation days.

Anyway, one day my immediate supervisor confronted me and asked if we had set the date yet. Well, I wasn't going to lie and I told her yes, but that we were trying to keep it very quiet. I work for a huge company and deal with many people in various departments, and I'm having a hard time figuring out the guest list.

Thanks Everyone!

Thanks! That makes me feel so much better. I thought maybe I was just being too bitchy, but this chick really gets to me.

About my nails, I found this great set that comes prepainted. They're press-ons, but I've done them before and they look great, and my fiance loves them too. They don't take a lot of time to do and would look best if done fresh. Our wedding is late in the afternoon, with the photographer coming to my parent's house at 2. I thought I'd be able to do them in the morning after I shower. But, that's a small detail to be worried about later.

Lisette,

Thanks for the advice about the press-ons. But I've worn these before and have had tons of success with them. I don't think I've ever gone less than a week before one popped off. I've noticed the best hold comes when I use them on fresh nails that haven't been subjected to the glue and such. The more times I strip the fake nails off and redo the entire process, the less strength I get from the glue. Don't ask me why, it's just an observation

Lisette-inviting coworkers

I don't think you have to invite your entire floor just because a co-worker did. Don't let her decision put pressure on you. Remember it is your special day and you should try to be surrounded by people you love - or at least like! But I know everybody's work situation is different and I am thinking of my own, I wouldnt feel it necessary. I did invite my 2 bosses and 2 girls I am friends with. Yes, the bosses partly because of maintaining a good relationship with them but an entire floor...that sounds like a lot of people. Good luck.

There were a few, actually... In the final running, it was Imagine Studios (who did our engagement shoot), Ed Collins Photography, Susan Francy and Mark Kaufmann. The final decision was really based on the the fact that we are getting two photographers and that we fell in love with BOTH photographers work! And honestly, this last time, we sat there and KNEW that we had the right photographers... It was the best feeling that we have gotten during this whole photography process and we have picked everything for this wedding based on our feelings...
