Tell me if this favor is cheesy...

Tell me if this favor is cheesy...

I've been searching for a favor I could personalize and that my guests will get some use out of. I really like the idea of a CD of a compilation of our favorite tunes as a favor. What do you guys think? Nice or cheesy? We would pick classic songs so all age ranges would enjoy the songs, we were thinking of having our wedding song, an Elvis song, Sinatra, Louis Armstrong maybe - something along those lines...
Comments / opinions are welcome! There are several jewel case options. I'll post one we're considering.

I like the idea, and have been to 2 weddings where they had CDs as favors --love the idea -but I honestly I havenever listened to the CDs. But its one of those things where - even though I don't listen to the CD, I would MUCH rather have a CD that I don't listen to rather than the 'Typical' favor that I won't use. Does that make sense. To answer your quesiton --I don't think it is cheesy.

i love the idea. i think it's personal and useful - especially if you are putting on a wide range of songa and they are all 'listener friendly.' We opted not to do it for the wedding, so we are having them at the RD.

We are doing CD's b/c my fiance is CRAZY about music. I jazzed them up with Italian artwork that I love on the label and put 19 songs on it. Everthing from Bright Eyes to Bobby Darrin and Pearl Jam (all nice love type songs).

We are happy with them, and b/c I was worried that some people wont listen to CD's - I am also doing little bombonieri w/ the almonds and two chocolates in there. HTH

I like this favor b/c its useful. I have several from weddings we've been to but we don't listen to them much. While its good and useful, if its not used by most it may be a waste of time and money.

My sister had her DJ make up a Cd. it was a HUGE hit. I personally have never listened to the CD, because it's not my kind of music, but I know a lot of people who listen to it all the time and even aked for extra copies

I've gone to several weddings where the favor was a CD and I thought that I wouldn't listen to somebody else's choices and I have not taken the favor home. It's just my opinion and I am being honest.

The first time I got a CD as a wedding favor, I loved the idea and thought it was great, but I have been to 3 other weddings that had CD's too, and all of them had alot of the same songs, so I don't even listen to them.

I received a CD last summer as a favor & liked it alot. I listened to it all the time. I really liked the songs they chose. I'm not sure how older people might have felt about it though. But I thought it was a good idea.
