tell me if this price quote for hair is totally $$$$
I must give the disclaimer that this has been my hairdresser for years, and she is a salon owner in huntington... and a regular haircut is always $80 after tip....
It's just she's a genius, and is basically the only person I trust...
For the day of, I was quoted $300. She will drive from huntington to port jeff (roughly an hour drive) early in the morning and do my hair at home. I'm sure it will be another $70 per person for my 2 bridesmaids.
How much did you pay to have your hair done outside a salon? how many hair-do's total for your quote?

ummmm... I THINK... think think think... I am paying $300 for hair and make-up.
But I booked a while back so I don't know if that is correct for sure.

Im a hairdesser and it really dapends on what your getting done . i dont think its a crwzy price ... THink about it you pay 80 for a haircut .. thats just me .. if shes the only one you trust i would do it ..

mine was 190 because i went to the salon. my hair dresser told me it would be more like 290 if he were to come to me. Maybe you could go to the salon to get it done would that save money and you could still have the lady you want.

I worked in a salon for years and I'm having that salon owner come do my hair for my wedding. Your paying ALOT. Mine would be charging me $150 - $200 AT THE MOST. Remember....its just hair. That doesnt include makeup or anything. Thats a ton of money IMO for hair.

I think it's a bit high personally but, I think I understand the reasoning behind it.
Because the hairdresser is coming to you to do your hair, they need to make up some of the money they would've made if they worked in the salon that day (that's the way the woman who did my hair for my wedding described it to me - if she needed to leave the salon on a Saturday, she charged a good deal more because she needed to recoup some of the money she lost for not working at the salon).

Yep, that is only for hair..... not make-up. On the other hand, make-up will be done by my best friend as a wedding gift, so there will not be that added expense.....
The recent thread where everyone was discussing the horrible AM schedules for morning ceremonies made me realize I cannot drive to the salon that morning. It would stress me out too much.
Yeah, I'm thinking it over. I am quite loyal to her, though... To me, it likely will be worth the extra $$ to be with someone I know well, and can completely trust....
Sigh, there has to be another place I can economize

Depends, what are you getting done? plus its not just the hair you have tothink about but you are also are paying for their time.
If you are getting extensions, or curled or a difficult up-do then yes alot of people will charge that for your wedding day.
