Tell me i'm not crazy...

So FMIL bought her dress for the wedding. She told FH today and she showed it to him. So when he told me that she had gotten the dress i was really happy she finally found something she liked bc i know she was having trouble hunting one down. When i asked him what color it was he said it was a darker blue... My girls dresses are NAvy blue. This has been a known fact for a while now and i expressed that i dont care what color dress she got as long as it wasnt the same color. I was pissed when FH told me. He has no idea why.. he's like it isnt the ssame shade. Even if it isnt i dont think it was right of her to get the same color family as my girls are wearing... Am i wrong to be a little upset? I dont want to say anything to her bc i would feel bad... but at the same time i am think about pictures and things like that too... Ugh..... Help...

I hear you, but I dont think u should say anything to his mom, just let it go, maybe she wants to feel special and or stand out. Your picture will be beautiful anyhow!

I think it might be better she stayed in the blue family. This way the colors coordinate. Sometimes mothers get colors that don't go with the BM dresses and it looks silly.

This. It sounds like she didn't do it intentionally. I wouldn't say anything. I think shades of blue will look lovely.

Eh, it's a little thing in the grand scheme of things. My BM dresses are navy blue as well and my mom got a navy blue dress for my wedding long before I decided on the BM dress color. Then my FMIL also bought a navy blue dress! Honestly, I don't care, I just want them to like their dresses and be happy on the big day.

My FMIL wanted to get navy too because she thought she was SUPPOSED to match. Weird!

Navy here too, haha and my FMIL wanted to do the same thing. She thought she was supposed to. She hasn't gotten a dress yet, but it's no the end of the world if it ends up being close in color. I however am going shopping with her in a few weeks to look for one so I'll steer her away from matching colors. My moms is a bluish silver, so it compliments. Thats what I am hoping my FMIL will lean towards; something coordinating but not exact. Don't stress these small things though. There is too much to worry about with a wedding and don't let this be one the things.
