Tell me the truth, what does Nutrisystem/Jenny Craig food taste like?
I was on Nutrisystem a long time ago, and didn't care for the food; Has it improved? Mary MOB

Some of FH's family is on it and I haven't heard anything terrible about it. I personally wouldn't touch it. All those preservatives, yuck. You don't even need to refridgerate the food! That grosses me out!

I was on it briefly b/c the taste of the food got to me real fast...you can actually taste the vitamin fortification in it...pretty gross.......Weight Watchers is the way to go.

I'm on it, and I dont mind the food, some of it is really good! i would prefer my home cooked meal! but i'm on a shortime line! lol

FMIL tried it and didn't like the food---so she went on Jenny Craig and loves the food

I thought the Nutrisystem food was horrible (but I hear its changed a bit).
I really liked the Jenny Craig food - most of it didn't even taste like frozen meals and it taught me a lot about portion control. It just got expensive or I would have stuck with it longer!

It is - well compared to making your own food. It came out to about $100 per week for the food for me, but that doesn't include your fruits, veggies and dairy products you need. I personally thought $150 was a lot for one person on food. Atleast while we were saving for the wedding, everyone is in a different situation.

Hi Mary, I'm not sure if this is accurate, but I think you said you were diabetic. Well, a woman I work with is diabetic and tried Jenny Craig. She said it was difficult because she couldn't have alot of the food because of the sugars, and other things in them. Also, the sodium is extremely high in their foods. I would try weight watchers. You can work within the everyday food you eat.

Weight Watchers Mary!!! It teaches you how to make a lifestyle change and not rely on anything - you need to learn small portions and the right choices on your own!
I tried both and honestly thought it tasted like chemical treated cardboard. Ive had so much success with WW

i heard jenny craig tasted good and i know someone who lost 17 pounds since christmas but the cost of money she is spending is the motivator for not cheating. i couldnt do it! i have lost 30 pounds very slowly on weight watchers and it stays off about 3 years now. need to loose another 15 by wedding

Hey, everyone!! I appreciate all your comments!! I'm exasperated!! I was on weight watchers some yrs. ago. I think being Diabetic, puts me in the resistant to weight loss group. Last night, I did research on Atenolol, a beta blocker I'm on for high blood pressure and tachycardia. I was shocked to read that a side effect is impairment of insulin release. Do I, a diabetic really need more insulin impairment?? I also read online, testimonies of people taking Atenolol, being resistant to losing weight, no matter what they did. My Dr. and I will be having a chat!! Mary MOB

i just lost 25lbs on jenny...at first i liked the food..than after 4 months of eating it i got really sick of it and i couldnt eat it anymore..i have a freezer full of stuff still..its great for a temporary fix but its not good for lifetime...and it got to be too much money with the wedding and all so i switched to ww to lose an extra 15 before the wedding..good luck to u though..

Mary, Try weight watchers. I lost 12 pounds. It will really be great and it's healthy.
