Temple Help Please :)

Calling all Brides...

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are well. I am planning on getting married next fall and am completely overwhelmed with the process, especially looking for a venue...We have been to, no joke, about 15 places, and nothing has really stuck out to me except for 2 places, and they are even maybes...One of which was a temple, B'nai Shalom in Rockville Center. Really beautiful!! But I want to compare it to another temple that is not going to cost 200++.

We are under a really tight budget, and im looking for any advice you may have on reasonably priced temples.

I've seen on this forum, Oceanside and East Meadow jewish centers, any others!!

Thank you all my past present and future bride to be's for helping me in any way you can...

xoxo
Jenn

I can't really help with Temples but would you consider getting married at the reception hall (by a Rabbi, of course)? That's what i'm doing (as are a bunch of other girls here)

You can try the sephardic Temple in Cedarhurst, Temple Avodah in Oceanside, or the Hewlett East Rockaway Jewish Center. All do great jobs!

If you have any questions feel free to FM me...

GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm getting married at East Meadow so I can answer any questions about it! What do you want know? It definitely was the most reasonable prices temple of the ones I saw. I also looked at Shelter Rock, Sephardic, and Temple Sinai. I also looked Crest Hollow and the Royalton for kosher catering.

I did check out Oceanside, but it just wasn't for me. I thought East Meadow was much nicer and liked the catering manager better.

I was just at a Bar Mitzvah at Temple Beth El in Great Neck and it was really beautiful... Not sure how much it cost but I would recommend checking it out.
