So I mentioned to FH today that we should get a croquet set for our e-party and he told me his parents didn't want to stick the things in the ground. To which I said, but we are having a tent poles stuck in the ground, tables and chairs, and 50+ people WALKING on the grass already, who cares about a croquet set?????
You think the croquet set is going to cause problems on the grass, wait til you see my high heel shoes on your grass for 3 hours!!!!!!

Do you think they would say this or is this a case of your fh being too chicken to ask? It stinks that you can't get what you want - especially something as silly as this but I'd also say it's a minor thing to get upset about if he won't ask.
