anyone doing or been to a tent wedding?? comments anyone? i am thinking of this as one of my options...since i would be able to afford to do it at night ( which i would love).... i am looking into the Vanderbilt Museum...if anyone has any feedback on this that would be great. I havent been able to find much about it.

I went to one that was gorgeous. It was someting to really rave about!!!! However, it was close to 100 degrees that day and it didn't cool down enough even for the evening reception.
WOW she did do an amazing job...Absolutely love the decor, so gorgeous

Funny, when I saw the subject line, I immediately thought of itslauri's wedding. It really was a beautiful wedding.
Hi I was goint to do a tented wedding at a vineyard but ended up not doing it for many reasons. Just a few things to remember with a tented wedding. The surface the tent is errected on needs to be as flat as possible. You will need to get at least a dance floor and some people flooor the whole tent which is more expensive. You'll need a lighting specialist to illuminate your tent which can get costly. If it rains the night before or the day of the wedding there is a chance the ground underneath the tent will become soft if the whole tent is not floored. I'm not trying to scare you but make sure you make an informed decision on whether or not you are will to deal with this and if you can afford it. If you have anymore questions FM me! Good luck. I'm having a tent wedding! We both really wanted to do something like this for our wedding, so if its what you want then go for it. We're using Nassau Tent Company. They are very highly recommended by almost everyone we spoke to. FM me if you want more details.
