Hi girls i was hoping that you could help, we were thinking of moving our wedding date from 2010 to possible 2009 due to terminally sick grandma, and i was wondering if anyone has ever done this or knowes anyone that has and how it worked. I would imagine RH would not be to much trouble as long as we get an open date, but as for other venders im not sure if it would be a huge ordeal or possible to switch date and we cant aford to lose deposits. We already sent out the save the dates if we did switch the date would be have to explain in the invite? Does anyone know if we wouls lose money if we switch the honeymoon, its a cruise through travel agency. Thanks girls for all your help!

Hummm..... i think as far as the honeymoon goes you will prob just have to pay to change your airline tix..... i would check with the travel agent but i dont think its that big of a problem
as far as RH and vendors i think it will also be ok so long as they have the dates available.....
i havent done this but i think it can be done!

I think it could be done, I would contact your vendors and see if they're available the date you're looking for in 2009 and explain your situation. I'm sure they will be understanding. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.

So sorry about your grandma.
Maybe you can call up all your vendors and ask them what days they still have free for 2009. Hopefully there will be a common factor among all of them.

I did this and i contacted the vendors i had booked and coordinated a date that they were both available on. For the save the dates i just sent out new ones from vistaprint that weren't that expensive.

Call up all your vendors and see what the common date is amongst them.

I'm sure you can get it done! I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. I just lost mine in March very suddenly. It's sad to think she won't be at my wedding. I would've definately tried to move my wedding up.
