Tessa Girls

Could you show me what you sent Tessa as your inspiration? I have a board that shows my colors but not my 'style' or theme. I don't know my theme really other than colors... TIA!

Is this board enough?

Go to www.snippet&ink.com or style me pretty. That is were she gets most of the inspiration boards. There are tons on those website.

Tessa will actually send you a bunch of pictures if you do not provide anything to her. I believe the board below is enough for her to work with. I was very clueless what I wanted in the beginning but after a few email excahnges with her, the whole thing started toi take shape. I just saw my invites last week. Let me know if you want to see them and I will FM them to you.

Can I ask Tessa Girls how you feel about her prices? I'm trying to make sense of the price charts and weighing the DIY invites vs. using Tessa. Which is cheaper? Better? CONFUSED!!!

Hi there!

I was concerned about pricing too. I emailed her and expressed my concerns that she might be out of my budget. She responded with the nicest thing.

Here is her email to me:

Hi Debra! I would love to see what I can do to help you out! Thus far, I've not had a budget that was too small to work with, so go ahead and fill out my Idea Inventory (attached). I'll take a look at everything and let you know what your options are...budget and style-wise. It's not so much the money that makes a great invitation, it's the attention to detail and the overall presentation. There are some awfully expensive invitations out there that are bland and completely forgettable...an inexpensive invitation with a lot of character has the potential to go a long way!

I LOVE her already!

Re: Tessa Girls

if your talking about tessa from evenstarpaperie, she is wonderful, and such a pleasant vendor to deal with. I originally got a price for my invites through a store I frequent and I was quoted over $2000 dollars...Going through tessa im spending WAY less than that..She will work with a budget and all her work is awesome! I had a proof sent to me in two days!

for me tessa was cheaper - i was going to DIY and somehow it would have cost me more money especially including tolls and parking in NYC - plus imagine all the time i would spend making them!

Re: Tessa Girls

oh and for inspiration i sent her a pic of my bridesmaid dress (i wanted my invite to mirror the dress, same color scheme, i wanted something with a buckle, and i also sent her a photo of an invite i liked that had a design in all four corners....i wanted something that was christmas glam but without being typical christmas colors and graphics

ETS: the only thing different will be the buckle - it will be more sleek and thin - she just used what she could find for the sample

I think all you girls should be fine with time. She is definitely busy. I think she puts importance on the girls getting married within the next few months. Believe me, the wait is worth it once you get the finished products!
Plus, it's always better to get the invites about 2-3 months before your wedding because you never know if your ceremony time changes etc. That happened to me and I'm so glad that I got my invites when I did.

What a nice response! I am going to give her a try. It makes so much sense - esp. since I'll not only have to but the paper but the supplies to cut the paper, embellish it, glue it... etc. UGH! And all that time! Now I'm all excited! Thanks!!!!!
