I was just researching thailand and it is pretty affordable with flight and staying a week or so at a 4 or 5 star beach resort. Anyone been there? A girl i work with is from thailand and said that everyone speaks english and that its easy to get around- and food is pretty resonably priced. Hmmm maybe Ill have a TA look into this for me.

Re: thailand
I would LOOOVE to go to Thailand. But if I go I would want to travel around a lot and since I really want 90% relaxation on our honeymoon, Thailand wouldn't work out. But I heard its beautiful..so definately check it out.

I have been to Thailand about 7 or 8 years ago. Your money will go quite far there. I found that finding English Speaking people were few and far between, but it is easy to get around. A lot of the hotels have things in English. I was there for 14days and had a blast. Pucket is great for their beaches, but check the hotels first, since there is one of the locations hit by the Tsunami. Anyway great choice, you will have a ton of fun.

I went to Thailand in November of 2004. It was super easy to get around. My friends and I did not take a package tour and did not have a guide. We just used books and maps. Everyone spoke English and most of the signs were in English and Thai. Even the announcements on the Skytrain were in both languages.
