Anyone do this or look into it? I think it sounds very romantic and exciting, but I know in July it rains there for a few hours a day.

I'm going to Thailand for my honeymoon, and my wedding is in July next year. I didn't know it rains that much in July, but I do know it'll be extremely hot and humid. Plus, airfare is high during the summer. My FH and I were considering postponing the honeymoon until the fall.

Hey thanks for your response. Please keep me updated with information and if you'd like I'll do the same for you. I think Thailand would be amazing. It really depends how long it rains during the day in July and how the weather is while it's not raining during that time. Do you know anything about the saftey over there at this time? I heard recently there has been some turmoil... As far as the plane cost...I think we have miles to use.

There was turmoil in Bangkok, but I'm not worried. I'm hoping that it ends completely by next summer, but, if not, you may have to skip Bangkok, and visit other areas. I'm not as excited to visit Bangkok as I am to visit other areas, like Chang Mai and Phuket, anyhow =).

ive looked into thailand fh and i looooved the idea of it, but then political crap broke out and they started evacuating all the visitors... i would just keep an eye on it other than that from what ive seen/heard its amazingggg

Hi I went to Phuket Island, Thailand for my honeymoon, we also went to Hong Kong, Malaysia (Penang) which is breathtaking! and Bali, Indonesia....Bali is an island off the coast of Indonesia, and it was my favorite!!
Where in thailand are you looking to go?

We were planning on Thailand, but changed our mind with the civil unrest going on now. Now we're looking into Tahiti/Bali

Sounds like a lot of fun!! I wish I could fit in Bali and Malaysia too.
In Thailand, I'm planning to travel throughout the country--Bangkok (if possible), Sukothai, Lampang, Chang Mai and Phuket.
I'm also planning to visit Hong Kong, Taiwan and Cambodia (Angkor Wat).
I HIGHLY recommend Vietnam, particularly Hanoi and Halong Bay, for those who've never been. I studied abroad in Vietnam for two summers, and loved it.
