Calling off a wedding is a big deal and obviously very hard for everyone involved. No matter what he says, if you had any doubts, you did the right thing. You should not go through with something this important if deep down you know its not right.

Be proud of yourself for being able to take this very difficult step and Good Luck in your future endevours!
