I just want to say thanks to all of you that responded positively to my post regarding spending so much money on my wedding gown.
I live in Maryland now and down here, weddings aren't quite the 'event' that they are in NY. My local friends have been telling me how ridiculous I am for wanting a dress that costs a couple thousand dollars.
THANKFULLY, my wonderful FI has been super supportive and told me as long as I'm happy, that's all that matters. He even pointed out - 'Amy, it's hard enough for you to find a pair of jeans that you like, if you like this dress, it's a miracle that you found it. PLease get it.'
My mother is THRILLED- she loved the dress as well and had even offered to pay for it (I turned her down -they've already helped us buy our house).
Thanks again ladies - you are al too sweet. I hope I'm able to return the favor to each of you!
