Thank you card etiquette for gifts that arrive separately

Thank you card etiquette for gifts that arrive separately

My friend sent me three items for my engagement. Two of them came in one box and I thought that those were it so I sent a thank you card. Now, 2 weeks later, a third gift arrives. Do I send a second thank you note?

The items he purchased were not on my registry so I had no idea there were more than 2 gifts. I know with Macy's you can tell who buys you what even if it hasn't arrived yet.

If it is a close friend, i would probably call her and thank her verbally over the phone

It was a friend who I talk to every once in a while (mostly over email). We used to work together, then he moved to another state about 2 years ago.

I think a phone call would be good. Thanks!

Yes. phone call would be best since you already sent a thank you card
