Is it OK to wait to send thank-you's after you get back from the honeymoon for people who can't come to the wedding and are sending gifts before the wedding? I would send it right away but I want to use my nice thank-you's that we got with the invitations that have my married name on them. What is the edicate on this?

I just mailed all my thank you cards together - exactly 2 months after the wedding. I also waited on people who sent gifts early mainly because my thank you's had my married name on them but also for the pictures...

Old etiquette dictates that you should send your Thank You's within 2 weeks of receiving the gift, up until the 2 weeks before the wedding. If it's that close to the wedding then you can wait till after, and after the wedding they should all be sent out no later than I believe it's 8 weeks. But that also was before people waited for wedding photos to include. I sent Thank You's before the wedding as gifts came in, using note cards with my maiden name, and after, using cards with my married name.
