hey ladies - what is the standard amount of time to get thank you cards sent out for the wedding?

IMO 2 months would be the longest.

I always thought that you had a year, 1 year to send a gift and 1 year to write a thank you.

They say you have a year- I would aim ofr six months if possible.

Two months would be nearly impossible if your doing photo thank yous.

I am a little on the anal side with things like that. As soon as I get those photos I am writing thm ASAP and mailing those babies out! Plus I have annoying FIL's who are forever nag about thank you's and things of that nature, god forbid they aren't out the next day!

you have a year....i swore id have them out by 3-4 months. Didnt happen! Im married 6 months now and just ordered them!!!!

Thats what I said too. But it took 3 weeks to gt my proofs, 3 days to choose the pic, a week for the photog to confirm the design, and 17-21 days to print. Thats at 2 months before I even have them in my hands to write.

yeah i have to say these are the most annoying things i ever had to do.. i know that is so mean b/c people spend a lot of money on the gifts.. but geez i just cant seem to sit down and write them out..ughh
