Thank you envelopes

Thank you envelopes

Our wedding was in August and I am finally getting around to the thank you cards Actually....I just finished them all My problem is with the envelopes
I tried to print the envelopes, but my printer will not even take them. My question is.....can I address the envelope myself (I have good penmanship : )

Will people even notice and take that into account if the envelopes are not printed???

How would you feel if your received an envelope handwritten instead of printed?

I need your serious opinion on this.

Personally I would like it better, as in you took the time to personally do them...IMHO

I was thinking the same. I don't mind addressing them myself. I think is more personal. I don't remember ever receiving a thank you envelope that was not handwritten.

Thank you for your opinion and help

ppl handwrite their wedding invite envelopes.... so that is fine!

Re: Thank you envelopes

I handwrote my TY envelopes and it was fine
When we printed the envelopes for our STDs we had a lot of trouble too...you have to adjust the settings somehow (FH/DH did it-I'm clueless). We wasted a lot of envelopes lol.
Another idea that I didn't think of is printing labels for the envelopes...I recently rec'd a TY card where the bride did this and it looked nice. SOMething to consider...I think they are easier to print than those small envelopes!

I think it's more important that you even write the thank-yous in the first place. People expect them. Don't worry about the envelopes! (I am planning on hand-writing them, too!)

You can use clear lables. That's what we did for our STDs.

that's annoying (i've had the same fight with my printer before :o) however, it's totally fine to handwrite them. if anything, it gives it a very personal touch!

Yeah, I don't think people really give a you-know-what about HOW the envelopes are addressed. As long as it gets to them, I don't think it matters.

Ettiquette wise they should be handwritten, not printed.

ITA!

and I also agree with the majority of the ladies here.. I think handwriting the envelopes adds a nice personal touch.

Handwriting them makes it more personal!
And to be completely honest with you, I can't say that I would even notice such a thing. When I get an envelope I just open it - I don't inspect it, but that's just me maybe.

I do think that by doing it by hand makes it a bit more personal. Your guests would definitely appreciate that.
