Thank You etiquette

If someone I invited came with a
'guest' but I don't really knwo them do I still write out the Thank to to so and so AND guest? or just to my friend that came? TIA!

I dont know what Miss. Manners would say but I think you would just thank the person that you invited. After all, they were probably the one who 'gave' the gift.

Is it a significant other that you hadn't met before? Or just a 'guest' of your friend?

If it's someone their dating, and you just don't really know - then I would thank them both as a couple. But if it's just a random guest, or wedding date - then I'd just thank the person you invited.
