Thank you ladies!!

I've been a lurker here for a long time. I recently got married but I never ever posted until today. We didn't have a computer at home and the one at work I felt funny about posting and having it capture all my settings. LONG STORY but I work in a horrible office and coming here during my lunch hour was the one bright spot in my day.

I'm an older bride and at first I felt silly getting all excited about a wedding when I am 41 but there are other girls here who are older and I felt like it was okay to want to have a fairy tale wedding when I wasn't a young girl.

Anyway, my husband and I are extremely private and we usually don't do chatting online, etc. but I wanted to post and thank you all for your ideas (found some wonderful vendors and dress from you gals.) I felt like you where the only ones who could relate to what I was feeling.

Thank god for this site or I would have gone crazy with guilt over planning a wedding instead of going to city hall like everyone told me to!! It was beautiful and the best day of my life!!!

As for being an 'older' bride, I've got you beat by 3 years, and I'm just as excited as if I was 25. Age is just a number. Getting married is the thing we all have in common. Glad you were able to utilize the ideas on this board, I'm finding them invaluable too.

No need to feel concern about our age. We all have different background, age, etc... but we find a middle ground on this website by talking about our wedding. We share our ideas, our projects, etc.

So, come on in and maybe you can share with us your experience with your wedding.
