thank you note help

FH and I had an engagement party this weekend. One of his family friends did not bring a gift. On their way out they said they wouldn't be able to attend the wedding, but that our gift is on the way. So this gift is either a combo e party/wedding gift or just a wedding gift.

Do I send a thank you note when I receive it on my TY stationery OR do I wait until the wedding so they get the more official wedding stationery?

Really this comes down to a paper question . I'm leaning more towards sending the TY note now bc I would hate for them to think that no note is coming.

i have been sending tys as i get presents... reduces the number i have to send later, even though its not on my official wedding stationery
