Thank You Notes before the Wedding

We have been receiving engagement presents and I was curious whether people use the thank yous from their wedding invites (we ordered extras), even if the wedding invite hasn't gone out yet, or if we should save those for 'wedding' presents? Is it better to just use regular stationery cards for the thank yous for the engagement/pre-wedding gifts?

I had different note vards make for engagement and shower gifts. They say our names on them. For weddinhg gift thank yous I have cards that have our new mongram on it. I think you could use the same cards though

Technically, if your thanks yous note have your monogram you shouldn't use them before you are married. If they don't, then I thin it's fine. I didn't order thank you's that matchmy invites, so I have just been using pllain store bought ones in the same color.

I'm saving the Thank You notes I got with the invites for wedding gifts only! I ordered extra, but that's because they are good to have in the future. For the e-party I used different ones and I guess I'm planning on getting cute ones for myshower.

I had separate Thank Yous for everthing (engagement gifts, shower, etc.).

I wouldn't use those that match your invitations. Then these people will get the same card twice... I just bought TY cards from Target and Eckerd's for all of our engagement presents. I'll get TY cards that are specifically shower TY cards for that and then different wedding TY cards.

I had TYs made up with our first name only for the engagement gifts. For my shower, I will probably use ones with my name only. We had TYs made up with our full name for the wedding TYs.

I ordered thank you notes that say on the front 'thank you' for gifts received before the wedding (both shower and wedding) and we have cards to use after the wedding that have our names printed on front for the gifts that we've received either right before or right after that I can't get to writing the thank you notes immediately for.
