Hoping that some of you can help. I had my shower yesterday (SOO MUCH FUN!!). I received a couple of 'shower' gifts that were extremely generous. My thought is that they might be the wedding gift from the couple. I'm working to get out all of my thank you notes out as soon as possible. Here's my question: I'm going to send a thank you note now, but do if this ends up being the 'only' (in quotes since they were so generous) gift do I send another thank you note after the wedding?

Ohhh good for you, what an interesting dilemma!! I'm thinking that the ladies who came to your shower know its your shower, and know they'll be giving another wedding gift? But if you're right, and that's to cover both the shower and the wedding, I'd say 'yes' to sending them a TY after the wedding as well...

I would agree you'll still want to thank them for coming and sharing in your special day, and you'll want to send them the little picture as well!

Thanks guys. I was thinking about doing 2 notes. Always better to err on the side of being overly thankful then to be seen as ungrateful.

I would send out a thank you now and then after the wedding send out another thank you. Something similar happened to me. China came right around the time of the shower, but it was a wedding gift not a shower gift.
