We received a gift from someone we actually didnt invite to the wedding because we are not close to them but they were nice enough to get us a GORGEOUS gift! And we wanted to give them a thank you card and a favor, can I do that now BEFORE the wedding? Or is it stilly or 'not the right' etiquette to give the favor out already? I cant see how its a bad thing but always like to check these things... =))

I would send it out before the wedding, IMO

Re: Thank you/Favor Etiquette
You received it close enough to your wedding that you can write a thank you and send the favor after the wedding. I personally wouldn't send a favor out before the wedding. After all, this is a WEDDING gift, and it's proper to link it to the wedding, and not randomly beforehand -- had you received it awhile ago, I'd say to send soemthing before. I don't think the gift givers would expect you to write/send anything the week before your wedding as well!

I would send the thank you card ASAP but I would not send a favor.

Re: Thank you/Favor Etiquette
I think etiquette is that you only send favors to people who send gifts AND who were invited to the wedding. In this case, the person wasn't invited to the wedding so I wouldn't send them a favor.

Re: Thank you/Favor Etiquette
Your wedding is this weekend. I think its ok to wait until say monday. That way you can send out the thank you and the favor at the same time.
