My photographer told me she would need at least a month before she can get to my wedding because she had a few that she still hasn't gotten to. Do I wait for the pics to come back or do I send store bought (but nice ones) Thank You's and send them without a picture? Is it okay to wait a while before I send the Thank You's if I want to wait for the pics? Im afraid that her 'month' may turn into a few.

I think it's ok to wait, I am going to do the same thing. I figure I will write all the thank yous out and be ready to send them once we get our pictures. I don't think I have ever gotten a thank you note from a wedding quicker than a couple of months later.

I had ours out within a month, but we did traditional cards that matched our invites, rather than photo cards.

I so regret doing the photo thank you cards! We are teachers, and had all summer to write the cards, but didn't get the cards until this past Friday! We feel so terrible for getting the cards out so late, and now we are rushing, we spend the whole day yesterday doing them. We went to 2 weddings after ours, and got thank you's from both of them this past week -- we feel really stupid!
