It's disgusting and horrible the type of stuff people have access to online...
The only type of security for a lot of those sites is a check box to say you're over 18. Anyone can get to it. It's vile....
My father is a big advocate of searching for porn..I had the sheer joy of fixing his PC one day and coming across it. Not just any porn either...

Would you be as upset if a 16 year old boy had pornography on his computer? I know my brother has a TON of it on his computer (he's 17) and it's pretty normal...

She could have been curious and sometimes once you click on one of those websites...forget about...you're bombarded unless you have blockers. She may have been trying to close a window and often they set them up so that you end up saving things to your favorites/desktop without knowing.

Don't assume and accuse. This is something that should be 'discussed' with your aunt.

I definitely think you should tell the mother..
you could just approach her in confidentiality and tell her you're having a hard time finding the words to tell her this but....
If you're close with her, I think the conversation will take it's place naturally and you shouldn't be nervous! Sometimes things like that can lead to danger...

I think it's very normal for that age- maybe I'm the only one- but I'm sure 99.9% of teens that age have looked at pornography... I know when I was younger we put on my friend's brother's porno tape.. laughed our rear's off- and I'm well adjusted... I don't think you want to make a 16 year old girl feel bad for exploring her own sexuality... especially if she's not acting out sexually. The only thing I would be worried about if she is in contact w. people via chat rooms and such.

Of course it's all about the bigger picture- just be careful, b/c I think sexuality is a very fragile thing, and we don't want girls to think there's something wrong with things that aren't (i.e. the 'M' word)... However, if you think that she's being promiscuous- then I would bring it up. But usually promiscuity is a function of self esteem, trying to feel 'loved', etc

I would be scared as well you here all these stories about kids entering porn sites and the predeators that are waiting!!!!!! Definitely speak to her mom look @ the story last night about the 15 year girl disappearing. This kind of supervision I believe is a must !
