Have you already started doing BM activities with them, picking dresses and favors or not yet? I would maybe re ask just stating that it was almost year ago and people maybe at different points in the life but you would still like them to be a part to help you and keep things positive as plan your big day.

i had this problem with one of my girls, so i told her that my fiance's groomsman backed out and i didnt have room for her in my bridal party.. Worked out totally fine and we remain friends but she is not a part of the wedding.
