Thanks...and a note.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's been helping me scout out places or asking their friends for suggestions or even just reading my annoying vents about the space rental situation.

No updates as of yet.

FH and I got into a fight last night though. I was having a meltdown about it when he got here after work and then I told him 'You should be prepared to call around to places this weekend'.

His response was 'Well that's not how I'd go about it.'

'Well how would you go about it?'

'I don't know that just doesn't seem productive?'

'... I don't even know how you can justify that. How is that 'NOT productive?'

'Well I have things on my mind too.'

'Please tell me what is more important going on in your life right now than knowing that our friends and family ...some of who are traveling 700 miles to see us get married... are going to have a place to avoid standing around in the potential rain or snow and have at a minimum a piece of cake on our wedding day?'

'I'm stressed about the end of the school year.'

'You have more than two months left of school.'

'...'

And then we just exploded on one another and ended up watching Lost in separate rooms.

Now I'm just mad that he ruined watching LOST for me and plan to probably kick him in the tooth the next time I see him.

Sigh.

But anyways. Thanks guys.

I've watched Lost before while mad at FH ... i agree that it completely ruined the episode ... sorry you two were fighting ... sorry, too, that you couldn't enjoy Lost

Men are so awkward when it comes to stress and then dealing with other people's stress at the same time.

Hopefully he'll realize that this involves him too and maybe he'll suuck it up to make some phone calls!

Anyway, I'm waiting to hear from my aunt about pricing on the Moose Lodge in Port Jeff. I'll let you know if she gets back to me.

So... aunt said you have to be a member for the moose lodge... and she's not longer a member... but she suggested the Polish Hall on Terryville Rd in Prt Jeff Station... no membership needed and she said it's really nice.

I think this is one of those things were, men will be men. They don't worry about this stuff they leave it for us to do and then b itch about what gets done.

sorry you're going through this.. and i'm so sorry about 'LOST'... (last night was prob the best episode ever).

try giving him the silent treatment till saturday, when he asks whats wrong just dont say anything, then on saturday start making phone calls... he'll eventually come around and start helping. and if he doesn't.. kick him in the shin.

what are you looking for in a venue? uniqueness? price range? capacity?
I had replied to one of your threads last week, but I think my suggestions were a little too far fetched.
