Re: Thanksgiving is at our house
good luck. it is a LOT of work. much more so than cooking the turkey. actually, that's the easiest part. the trimmings, dessert, cleaning, preparing - that's the hard part!
you'll do great though!

Re: Thanksgiving is at our house
Good for you! I backed down this year, just didn't have it in me to prepare the meal. Work has been crazy the last few weeks. Maybe next year.
Hope you and your family all have a great time!

Our first time too and I so hear ya!! We are really stressed with both of our parents coming and trying to get our house (and all the food) in order! We both are now taking off tomorrow cause we can't get it all done! GOOD LUCK!

Re: Thanksgiving is at our house
You'll be fine. Prepare as much as possible tomorrow night (i.e. peel your potatoes, etc). Also, if you make a schedule for yourself based on how long things take to cook and how many burners you have, etc, you'll save your sanity. Lastly, clean as you go along. A clean (organized) kitchen is KEY when hosting a big holiday.
Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the support and words of wisdom! I'm excited, esp since it is my immediate fam and Rob's immediate fam - a nice blend of our families. Still nervous tho
